Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology
The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is an RTO (Research and Technology Organisation) active in the fields of materials, environment, and IT. The mission of the LIST is twofold: - contributing to Luxembourg's reputation through our participation in several targeted research areas among the best RTOs, - significantly participating in the country's socio-economic development. To this end, we participate in several national and European competitive research programmes. We disseminate our results through scientific publications in internationally renowned journals, results that we protect by filing patents and that we transfer to key players in the private or public sector. The research approach of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is based on the emerging interdisciplinary scientific domain called Service Science Management and Engineering (SSME). The two areas of competence that are being developed are: Knowledge Intensive Systems and Services Software Intensive Services Engineering These competences are developed by our research department Service Science & Innovation around three main areas of research and development: "Sustainable Service Innovation Process" (S2IP): targeting processes and practices used in a science-based approach for Service Innovation "Architecture-based Service Innovation in Networked Enterprises" (ASINE): targeting the design and the evolution of services architecture in digital eco-systems "Service Innovation Competences" targeting the definition of the job profile associated with a service innovation manager.
