Biography
Dr. Shams is an assistant professor in Allergy/Immunology at Emory University School of Medicine and The Emory Clinic where she manages the care of adult allergy, asthma and immunology patients. She joined the Allergy/Immunology practice at Main Campus-Clifton Road in the fall of 2014; and Emory-St. Joseph’s Hospital in the fall of 2015. She is an Atlanta native and attained her bachelor of science degree in Biology, Honors Magna Cum Laude at University of Georgia. She graduated from medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine in 2009 and completed her medicine residency at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, LA in 2012. For her Allergy/Immunology fellowship, she returned to Atlanta to attend Emory University School of Medicine.
