Biography
Benjamin Mayala, PhD is a Research Scientist at IHME. His research focuses on geospatial analysis of infectious diseases, in particular using geospatial techniques to map HIV/AIDS and selected neglected tropical diseases. Dr. Mayala studied at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana) in Biological Sciences, where he applied geospatial technologies to model and map the spatial distribution of malaria in Tanzania, taking into account both climatic and non-climatic factors.
