Biography
I received my Dipl.-Ing. (equivalent to MSc) in Electronics/Communications Technology from the University of Hannover in 1995, and the D.-Phil. in Electronics from University of York in 2001. The title of my thesis is "Comparison of Measurements in GTEM cells and OATS." I spent five years at the National Physical Laboratory, where I was a member of the RF & Microwave Team. My work included the development of measurement methods in GTEM cells, Fully Anechoic Rooms (FAR), and on the Open Area Test Site (OATS). I started at the George Green Institute for Electromagnetics Research as a Lecturer in Electromagnetic Applications in April 2005. Here I am mainly involved in experimental work, focussing on RF measurements for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
