William Van Eijle

Biography

William is a Dutch Social entrepreneur based in Barcelona since 1996. He holds a degree in Business Administration and International Marketing from Amsterdam´s Hogeschool voor Economische Studies. Prior to Amicorp, William worked as a Marketing Director for Eurotunnel and Riu Hotels as well as for Grupo Intercom as a VP Social Corporate Responsibility. Between 2005 and 2009 William has been working for FC Barcelona and its foundation. William got involved in Social Entrepreneurship and founded the fundraise platform www.teaming.net which generated more than EUR 5 million for 6,000 different charities in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Based on this experience William wrote different books on CSR and Social Entrepreneurship, some of them with the support of celebrities like soccer legend Frank Rijkaard and the singer Shakira. William is also an international speaker on CSR and leaded more than 200 international workshops about Social Entrepreneurship. “When I share my personal story and professional experience with the audience, the most important goal for me is inspiring people”. As William developed his career both in the corporate and the social sector, he is a complete believer of sustainable development and both projects that help a lot of people, and social projects which are very positive and profitable for companies. William strongly believes that improving this world is all about starting with yourself: “As a person and as a company… Once you work on a social project you really believe in, dreams come true!” William is native in Dutch and fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan and German.
