Jim Caridi

Biography

Jim Caridi, M.D., FSIR, is Professor of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Tulane University Medical Center. In 2013, Dr. Caridi moved to Tulane University Medical Center as an attending in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Since that time, he has become Chairman of the Department of Radiology. Dr. Caridi graduated from University of Florida School of Medicine and completed his Radiology residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Caridi’s initial training began at Florida State University and University of Florida where he was Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology for 20 years. During this time, he also served as fellowship program director. During his tenure along with Dr. Irvin Franklin “Dick” Hawkins, Jr. and staff, they published many peer reviewed articles as well as book chapters and posters. The educational materials focused on improving safety and techniques for vascular and interventional procedures as well as thought leadership on the use of carbon dioxide as an alternative contrast agent.
