Biography

Datin Dr. Norma Abd Jalil (BDS Iraq, FFDRCSIreland), FAMM, J.S.M., Malaysian dental council number (1044), National specialist register number (127569) graduated in 1979 and obtained her Fellowship in Field of Dentistry (FFDRCS) Ireland in 1986 and was gazzetted as a Dental Specialist in 1987. She was the Head of Department Oral Maxillofacial Surgery in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She has a vast experience in managing Maxillofacial trauma, Early detection Oral Cancer, Oral Pathology, Implantology, medically compromised patients, management of apprehensive patients under general anaesthesia and Removal of wisdom teeth. She has done attachments with the University of Freiburg, Germany, the University of California San Francisco and the Free University of Berlin and has attended various courses in implantology locally and in Germany. She is experienced with various Implant systems including Frialit, Xive , Ankylos, Straumann and the latest metal free zirconia tooth colored Zeramax Implant system from Switzerland. She manages more complicated implant cases needing sinus lifts, bone grafts, bone augmentation and soft tissue management. She has experience in bloodless piezosurgery, Harmonics, Waterlase Laser, CO2 Laser, Digital Orthopantomogram, Cone Beam CT and intraoral digital radiography and its interpretations. Her experience in Implantology include open sinus lifts, internal sinus lifts, bone augmentations, immediate implantations, soft tissue grafts, autografts, allografts and stabilizing LOOSE dentures and Implant system which can be completed in one month. She also manages dental treatment for children under General Anaesthesia.
