Biography
Dr. Leong Chik Weng serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd since October 11, 2010. He is Chairman of Finance and Investment Committee, and member of Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He holds Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Massachusetts. He also attended Executive Training in Product & Manufacturing Strategy Development at Stanford University, School of Business. He also sits on the board of A-Rank Berhad, UMW Holdings Berhad and UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad. Dr. Leong is the founder of E-Lock Corporation Sdn. Bhd. and is currently its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this, he was the Technical Director of Raychem Corporation, Menlo Park, California, USA and later joined Guidant Corporation, Santa Clara, USA as its Consultant. He was also the Managing Director of Universal Search Machine Sdn. Bhd. from 1998 to 2000.
