Arthur Choo

Biography

Arthur Choo Jr. is the owner and president of Choo & Company Inc. which was founded in 1993. Choo & Company, Inc. is a certified small business specializing in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, and materials testing. Arthur graduated from Kent State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. He continued his studies at Kent State, and in 1986 earned his Master of Architecture in Preservation and Design. After briefly working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Environmental Management, and Division of Capital Planning and Operations, he founded Choo & Company Inc. in 1993. He then went on to earn his Master in Business Administration from University of Massachusetts, Boston in 1996. He is a registered architect with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of Rhode Island, State of New Hampshire, and the State of Connecticut. In addition, Arthur is N.C.A.R.B. Certified, and a LEED Accredited Professional. For 20 years, Arthur has been practicing architecture in Boston and surrounding areas, specializing in multi-family housing, hospitality and food industry buildings. He continues an interest in civic minded activities where he currently serves on the Hingham Historic District and on the Board of Higher Ground. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A), Boston Society of Architects, and in the past served as Middlesex County Reserve Deputy Sheriff, President of Massachusetts Construction Industry Board, and a speaker at Build Boston Convention. He lives on the South Shore of Massachusetts with his wife, and 3 children.
