Biography
Datuk Zaiton Binti Mohd Hassan is our Senior Independent Non-Executive Chairperson. She was appointed to the Board on 28th May 2014. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), United Kingdom, the Vice President of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Datuk Zaiton is currently the Chairman of Private Pension Administrator Malaysia and President of the ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee. She is also a Director of Sime Darby Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, BIMB Holdings Berhad, Rothschild Malaysia Sdn Bhd and several other companies. She was responsible for setting up Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (“MARC”) and served as its President/ Executive Director until 2004, when she left to set up her own financial advisory firm. Prior to her appointment to MARC, she held various senior positions at Maybank, including that of General Manager, Group Strategic Planning.
