Dr. Lim Kian Seng

Biography

  Dr Lim is also currently a Visiting Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon to Sunway Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, and the National University of Malaysia (UKM). As a keen medical researcher, he has published numerous scientific articles in international medical journals and has presented at international ophthalmic meetings. He is a panellist in several consultative bodies in the Ministry of Health advising the government on health policies relating to ophthalmology. He is also a Committee Member of the Malaysian Ophthalmological Society Education Dr Lim graduated with Medical Doctor (MD) with distinctions from the National University of Malaysia in 1994 with numerous academic awards. He completed ophthalmology specialist training and was conferred Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) (Singapore), Memberships Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Ophthalmology) (FRCSE), Edinburgh, in 1999. Subsequently, he completed an extremely competitive Fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery in the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, United Kingdom, in 2001/2002. He is registered with the National Specialist Registry, Malaysia for ophthalmology.
