Biography
Datuk Jamaludin Bin Nasir has over three decades of experience in the finance industry and currently is serving as the Chairman of Kotra Industries Berhad since his appointment on 02 January 2017. Datuk Jamaludin holds degrees in Bachelor of Science, Finance and Business Economics and Bachelor of Economics from Southern Illinois University. He has received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Texas Agricultural and Mechanical International University (formerly known as Laredo State University).
Research Interest
Datuk Jamaludin served as the Head and Assistant General Manager, Corporate and Capital Markets of Kwong Yik Bank, presently known as RHB Bank for eleven years. From February 1997 to June 2005, Datuk Jamaludin held the position of the General Manager of Dresdner Bank AG and from June 1999 to June 2005, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director (Global Business Services) of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He then joined Maybank in the year 2005 as the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer till the year 2006 and appointed as the Senior Vice President and Group Chief Credit Officer from July 2006 till June 2010. Besides that, he has served Asian Finance Bank as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer from July 2010 to May 2012.
