Biography

Lt. Gen. Dato' Seri Panglima Dr. Sulaiman Abdullah, M.D., (Retired) serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Pharmaniaga Bhd since December 29, 2011. He is a member of the Audit Committee. He started his career as Medical Officer with Ministry of Defense, and has served the Malaysian Armed Forces for more than 29 years. His last appointment with Malaysian Armed Forces was as the Director General of Malaysian Armed Forces Health Services. He has experience in the management and supervision of Armed Forces Hospitals all over Malaysia. He was also involved in the supervision for the development of Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. Throughout his stint with Malaysian Armed Forces, he has built relationship with local and foreign governments besides private sectors in medical field. His qualifications include Masters of Health Planning, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Mahidol University, Thailand, Masters of Public Health, University of Philippines System, Manila, Philippines, Diploma in Principle of Military Medicine, Academy of Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, USA, and Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. Currently, he is the President of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences in Cyberjaya.
