David Hammer

Biography

Mr. Hammer is a Principal at Healthcare Performance Management Consultants LLP, in the firm's revenue cycle and managed care practice. He specializes in revenue cycle and health reform issues, is a widely-known consultant and strategic advisor, and serves many leading health systems, group practices, and academic medical centers. Previously he was a Principal Consultant at Sagacious Consulting, Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Advisory Solutions at MedAssets, and a Partner in Accenture's Health and Public Services Operating Group. In his career, Mr. Hammer has held a variety of positions with leading health systems, consulting firms, IT vendors, and revenue cycle BPO companies. Mr. Hammer has worked with hundreds of healthcare organizations, providing strategy, financial consulting, and operational assistance. He is often recruited to speak as an expert on healthcare business operations and strategy throughout the United States. Mr. Hammer completed a dual-degree graduate program in business and health administration. He also graduated with an undergraduate degree in accounting, including a minor in information technology. In addition to his career pursuits, he serves in voluntary leadership roles with the University of Florida's College of Public Health and Health Professions and South Florida's cultural-arts group, Tigertail Productions.
