Biography
Professor Alam Malik has had a distinguished career in Clinical Paediatrics and Child Health as well as in Medical Education and Management, over a period of more than three decades, spent in various parts of the world, especially in Pakistan and Malaysia. Prof. Malik is a recognised expert on infectious diseases in children. Since moving to Malaysia in the nineties, to join the Faculty of Medicine, USM, he has remained in academia where he had served both at UNIMAS and UiTM for a stint of about six years in each. In September 2011, Prof. Malik joined QIUP worked tirelessly to lay the foundation for the Faculty of Medicine. In August 2012, the Faculty was able to open its doors to the first intake of students for the MBBS programme.
