Biography
Pong Hon Keat obtained his PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His PhD research was in the area of computer vision. He has been working on visual content analysis and generation since his Master’s studies when he was a research student in the Computer Graphics Research Laboratory in the School of Computing, National University of Singapore. Soon after his Master’s studies, he joined PixAround (Singapore) in year 2000 as a Research Engineer to help in the development of a panoramic image software tool. He then joined the Video and Imaging Department of Creative Technology (Singapore) when PixAround was acquired by Creative Technology. One of his achievements at Creative Technology was winning a US patent for his work in panoramic image generation.
