Biography

Raman Narayanasamy has a distinguished career in Clinical Psychiatry over a period of more than three decades, spent in various hospital in Malaysia. Dato’ Raman is a recognised expert in the field of Psychiatry which has won him many accolades.He has held many senior positions such as Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Director of reputable government hospitals such as Hospital Pulau Pinang, Hospital Bahagia, Hospital Permai Johor Bahru and Hospital Ipoh. Dato’ Raman began his foray into private medical education in Malaysia in 2001, firstly by teaching undergrad medical students from Penang Medical College and Perak Medical College. He has since then taught many students from undergraduate levels up to masters’ level. Dato’ Raman joined the Faculty of Medicine at QIUP in 2014 and has played a pivotal role in establishing the Faculty’s clinical base and heading up the department of Psychiatry.
