Biography
Pirabagaran Balasingam has over 10 years of experience in the health, safety and environment (HSE) and geological fields. He has worked extensively throughout Asia for multinational oil and gas companies on downstream activities, including a retail station, petrol service station, depots, refinery and pipelines. He has completed projects throughout Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Oman. Piraba has performed Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments (ESAs), hydrocarbon spill and leak emergency response services, buried sludge delineations, site risk assessments, risk evaluations and site remediations, light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) assessments, LNAPL mobility assessments, soil vapour surveys, tank pulls, HSE compliance audits, process safety reviews (pharmaceutical) and HAZID studies. He was also involved in the development of the Contaminated Land Management and Control Guidelines for the Department of Environment (DOE). Prior to joining Ramboll Environ, Piraba worked at Golder and AECOM/ENSR consulting firms.
