John W. Brown

Biography

 Mr. Brown became chairman emeritus in January 2010. He previously served as president of Stryker from 1977 to 2003. He was chief executive officer from 1977 to 2004 and director from 1977 to 2009. He was chairman of the board from 1981 to 2009. Mr. Brown is a director of St. Jude Medical, Inc., a medical device company with a strong emphasis on cardiovascular products, and a member of the American Business Conference, a Washington-based association of mid-size growth companies.
