Biography
Joellyne Carina Selvaraj graduated in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Sciences from University of Northumbria Newcastle, UK. With a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, she volunteered for charity health drives such as the Elderly Healthcare Programme, KL Marathon in and Community Medical Camp. She has undergone clinical postings in numerous hospitals and private centres namely at InstitutJantung Negara (Cardiorespiratory), Hospital Kuala Lumpur (Neurology), Hospital TengkuAmpuanRahimah (Cardiorespiratory), National Stroke Association of Malaysia (Neurology), Hospital Kemaman (Musculoskeletal), Hospital Ampang (Musculoskeletal, Cardiorespiratory). She has also attended seminars and courses on Limb Deformity Correction, Dry Needling, Anterior Knee Pain, Kinesio Taping, Sports Taping, Integrated Lumbar Therapy, Manual Therapy for Cervical Spine and Mechanical Neural Dysfunction. She has given talks on Ergonomics, Back Posture and Care, Knee Joint Conditions and Arthritis for various companies and organisations, most recently being for Secretaries’ Week 2016 and for the Rotary Clubs of Pudu and Gombak. She was the team physiotherapist for Cobra RFC during the 2013 Cobra 10’s rugby tournament and is currently a certified SCORES Back Care programme practitioner. She is currently working at MD Physiotherapy as a private practitioner alongside a team of physiotherapists specializing in sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. Further, she trains students who undergo their clinical postings at the clinic.
