Biography
Liam Tiong Teck Foo is a registered physiotherapist who recently graduated from MAHSA University under the collaborative Bachelors of Physiotherapy programme with Northumbria University (UK). Liam has trained at several different clinical settings in different disciplines. These areas include Hospital Kuala Lumpur (Neurology), Putra Specialist Hospital Melaka (Musculoskeletal), The National Heart Institute (Cardiorespiratory), Axis Physiotherapy Center (Musculoskeletal) and Hospital Pulau Pinang (Neurology and Cardiorespiratory). He has attended various courses having completed a course regarding lower limb lymphedema, postural control in stroke and in 2016 he completed a course in cervical spine dysfunctions, spinal cord injuries and lumbopelvic pain and dysfunction. He has volunteered in the “Let’s Go and Play” carnival for children with cerebral palsy in 2013. He is also a certified SCORES back care programme practitioner. Moreover, he has attended a campaign and talk regarding Parkinson’s disease which started his interest in treating patients with neurological conditions. His interest in movement and functional rehabilitation has further piqued his interest in using alternative approaches in treating patients with neurological deficiencies. Liam is working at MD Physiotherapy where, alongside his fellow colleagues, is pursuing his continuous professional development through courses and seminars. He also trains students who are posted at MD Physiotherapy for their clinical postings.
