Biography
Low Yun Ting is a Chartered Physiotherapist with twelve years of working experience, having dedicated five and a half years at Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC) as a Senior Physiotherapist and playing a critical role as one of the pioneer group of therapists who established the rehabilitation unit. She currently holds the position of Director in Synapse Rehab Consulting Sdn. Bhd., taking the lead in Synapse Physiotherapy Clinic located in Menara HSC. With numerous clinical attachments in the UK and Europe (Austria, Germany, Belgium), she carries a wealth of experience particularly in musculoskeletal injuries, foot disorders, orthoses and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. As a fully-qualified graduate in BSc with Honours in Physiotherapy from King’s College London, she gained valuable hands-on experience in the National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in the UK. After returning from UK, Ting joined Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre as a physiotherapist for two years, thus, covering and gaining more experience in various clinical settings. In the sporting arena, she was the physiotherapist for the Penguins International Rugby, England for three years and highly involved with the medical team for the PCMC/Euro Futsal Tournament in 2008, Siemen’s Run Kuala Lumpur 2009, and a netball team at the Petronas Carnival Games in 2010. She and her team of physiotherapists were also engaged by the German Badminton Association to handle their national badminton players in 2015 Maybank Malaysia Open. workflows and built the complete system for the Allied Health services in PCMC. Ting was the chapter leader for Patients and Family Rights (PFR) throughout PCMC, ensuring implementation of all measurable elements of PFR in hospital policies, SOPs, workflows and other documents to comply with the standards of JCI and MSQH accreditation. Outside of clinic, Ting participates in numerous international marathons and being a keen golfer, she also spends her weekend at the golf course.
