Biography
Maggie Lim graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Sciences from Northumbria University, Newcastle; completing the full programme at MAHSA University, Kuala Lumpur. As a student, she had clinical attachments at various government and private set-ups, namely, Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Ampang, the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM), and Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang. She gained physiotherapeutic experience with a charitable organization in Chennai, India. There, she assisted the physiotherapist with various neuro-musculoskeletal conditions such as low back pain, neck disorders, and plantar fasciitis. She completed a Basic Life Support programme in 2011. As a practising physiotherapist, she has attended various courses to further develop her skills within the profession. She acquired additional theoretical and practical knowledge by attending courses in the Management of Shoulder Musculoskeletal Pain Dysfunctions and the Janda Approach to Musculoskeletal Pain Syndromes. Furthermore, she is a certified practitioner of the SCORES (Spinal Core Stability) programme. She is currently registered with the Malaysian Physiotherapy Association (MPA). Her field of interest in physiotherapy include management of shoulder dysfunctions and neurological rehabilitation.
