Biography
Overview Dr. Afnizanfaizal Abdullah received his PhD in 2013 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Since then, he joined the university as a senior lecturer at Faculty of Computing. His research interests are computational intelligence and synthetic biology. He has a strong believe in achieving great outcomes through sharing knowledge and expertise in multidisciplinary research activities. Based on that believe, he co-founded Synthetic Biology Research Group, along with his colleagues in various background, including microbiology, bioprocess engineering, and chemistry. Besides research, he is also active in engaging with industrial partners, mostly in the fields of information technology and involves as a consultant in web-based application development. He loves to explore new technologies such as Node.JS, cloud computing, and big data. He also involves in developing big data platform for synthetic biology.
