Biography
She was born in Kluang, Johor. Her early schooling years were done in Johor and she did her Undergraduate Education at the University of Malaya, majoring in Geography and minor in Demography (2003-2006). During the period of 2006-2008, I worked as Tutor at The Department of Geography and I pursued my Postgraduate Studies at the University of Malay under a Government Scholarship (SLAI-Skim Latihan Akademik IPTA). Due to my First Class Degree with Distinction I was given an opportunity to register under the PhD Programme. My PhD research was on Metropolitanization and Land Use Change in Johor Bahru Metropolitan Region. I attained my PhD in 2014 and was appointed a senior lecturer’s post in the same year. My research interests are in Metropolitanization, Urban and Regional Planning, Land Use Change, Urban Sprawl, Application of GIS in Regional Study and Patch Analysis for Land Use Change.
