Biography

Dr. See MeeHoong, MD (UPM), Master of Surgery (UM), Breast Surgery (Fellowship UM-Mahidol University, Thailand) Dr See Mee-Hoongis a lecturer and Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at University Malaya Medical Center (UMMC). She obtained her undergraduate degree fromUniversity Putra Malaysia in 2003. Subsequently, she completed her Master Degree of Surgery (General) fromUniversity Malaya in May 2011. She joined University Malaya Medical Faculty in 2012 as a clinical lecturer (subspecializing in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery). Currently, she is aOncoplasticBreast Surgeon inUniversity Malaya Medical Centre and University Malaya Specialist Center. She was an honorary fellow of Breast Oncoplastic Surgical Training in Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2013.  She is currently the investigator and co-investigator for a few clinical trials such as risk for breast cancer, Intraoperative Radiotherapy (TARGIT B Trial), improving outcome for breast conserving surgery and oncology treatment for Her-2 positive breast cancer (Samsung Trial). She is a member of College of Surgeon and Breast Chapter of Academy of Medicine Malaysia. Her fields of interest are breast oncoplastic surgery, immediate and delayed breast and nipple reconstruction for breast cancer.
