Biography
Dr Selamat bin Amir was born in Kunak Town, Sabah. He received early education of al-Quran from his family. At Primary and Secondary level, he studied at SK. Pekan Kunak and SMU Islam Kunak Sabah and continued with the study in Foundation of Islamic Studies at Nilam Puri, Kelantan. In 2010, he completely his studies of Bachelor of Degree in the field of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith (with distinction) at Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur. Then apportunity came for him to continued his studies in Ph.D level (Tafsir and Quranic studies). He has graduated successfully Ph.D in 2016. He is active in academic writing that involves the islamic studies, quranic studies, quran and science and tafsir exegesis. He also shared the study at Qatar University, Paris Sorbonne University France, Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies London, World Islamic Science and Education University Jordan, Islamic University of Madinah Saudi Arabia and Istanbul University Turkey.
