Biography
Graduated from Institute of Medicine (1), Yangon University in 1982. Appointed as Medical officer under Ministry of Health, Myanmar in 1985. Won First Prize ( Gold Medal) during Public Service Training Course (Zeya-79) from Central Public Service University, Myanmar. Served at Mandalay General Hospital, Central Women's Hospital and UNICEF(Yangon) till 1993. Joined UMMC in 1999. Successfully completed Master in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (with Distinction), University of Malaya in 2004. Appointed as Lecturer since 2006, then promoted to Senior Lecturer, and then, promoted to Associate Professor in 2015. Pursuing PhD as part-time candidate in Pharmaclogy and Gynae-cancer for new drug discovery, and successfully presented for Candidature defence in 2015. Keen interest in innovative research. Many projects in collaboration with other departments including Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Parasitology, Preventive and Social Medicine and Physiology department of FOM,UM.
