Biography

Dr. Payam Shafigh working in Department of Building Surveying,Faculty of Built Environment at University of Malaya, 50603 Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA. Total Articles in Publication List are 46. Payam Shafigh has received his doctoral degree (with distinction) in Structural Engineering & Materials from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2013. He obtained his MSc (Civil Engineering-Structure) and BSc (Civil Engineering) from University of Mazandaran, Iran. After his doctoral degree he appointed as Research Fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Malaya for two years and currently he is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya. He received a number of national and international awards such as 2nd place award the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in concrete cube strength competition in 2000; ACI-Iran chapter award for the best MSc thesis in civil engineering in 2003 and 1st place award the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya for the highest number of ISI publications in 2012. He has supervised 9 MSc students and, currently, he has 3 MSc and 9 PhD students under his supervision. He has taught courses of Concrete Technology, Theory of Structure, Structural Design, and Strength of Material at the undergraduate level. His research interests include Concrete Technology, Lightweight Concrete, Concrete Pavement, Concrete Composites and Strengthening of Concrete Structures.
