Biography
Associate Prof. Dr. Poo Balan A/l Ganesan working in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at University of Malaya, 50603 Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA. Total Articles in Publication List are 58. PooBalan Ganesan received Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Technology Malaysia, Skudai in 1999. During the period of 2000-2004, he worked as Product/Process Mechanical Engineer at few local companies (Johor) where he was in charge of Electronic products (e.g., TVs, audios, printers) design, assembly, development and manufacturing. In 2005, he pursed his Master’s degree (MSc) in Advanced Mechanical engineering at the University of Bristol, England and later on he moved to the University of Aberdeen, Scotland for his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2006. He served as Research Assistant at the University for one year in 2010 to work on nuclear plant industry problem. In 2011, he is appointed as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Malaya, Malaysia. Since 2014, he has been registered as Chartered Engineer (CEng) in the Institution of Mechanical Engineer (IMechE), United Kingdom. His research lies in the fields of thermo-fluids, nano-fluids, bio-fluids and multiphase-flows.
