Biography
Sabri Musa received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Malaya in 1989 and joined the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after graduation. He began his clinical/research training at the Eastman Dental Institute, University of London and received his Master of Science in Paediatric Dentistry in 1993 with 3M Prize Award. He was appointed as a Lecturer in 1993, and Associate Professor in Paediatric Dentistry in 2000. While serving as an academician, he also practices Paediatric Dentistry specialty at the Faculty and University Malaya Specialist Centre. From year 2000, there were various periods where he was the Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Chairman for Problem Based Learning, Deputy Dean and the Principle of the Residential College of University of Malaya (since 2003 until January 2015) and also the Head for Regenerative Dentistry Research Group, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya. Currently, he is helding a post as Deputy Dean Postgraduate. He had published with his main area of research being Paediatric Dentistry and Dental Stem Cells. Currently, he has a special interest in pre-clinical assessment of autologous/allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells from various sources and in all aspects of regenerative dentistry research.
