Biography

Rafidah Aga Mohd Jaladin, Ph.D. (Monash Australia), is a senior lecturer at the Department of Educational Psychology and Counselling, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has 15 years of experience teaching psychology and counselling courses at tertiary level. Previously, she worked as a full-time practising counsellor at one private college in Kajang for three years. She has trained and written learning modules for students at both public and private institutions of higher education. Her research interests are diverse including multicultural competency, counsellor education and supervision, professional development training, mental health literacy, and other applied psychology topics. She has published widely in the areas of multicultural education and counselling. Her publication comprises counselling and psychology textbooks, several book chapters, many articles for various journals, and some entries in magazines and social bulletins. She has conducted many motivational talks, short courses, and trainings on psychology-related topics for diverse populations in Malaysia.
