Biography
I have had a keen interest in science from childhood and especially so in mechanics. This has led me to specialize in the field of deformity correction and limb lengthening as well as foot and ankle surgery. I have been actively involved in the management of this condition via surgical and non surgical means since joining University of Malaya medical centre. I have attended many courses on foot and ankle surgery as well as organized courses and teachings in limb deformity correction using the Ilizarov fixators and taylor’s spatial frame not to mention trauma fixation methods and skills. Apart from that, I also have a keen interest in research in medical innovation and development. At the department of orthopaedic surgery, I am actively involved in promoting and overseeing research among student of masters in orthopaedic surgery. I also head the biomechanics test lab in the department where we perform tests on various implants and materials.
