Biography
He is an associate professor at the University of Malaya’s Department of Administrative Studies and Politics (at Faculty of Economics and Administration), the founder and editor of Contemporary Chinese Political Economy and Strategic Relations: An International Journal (CCPS) and a member of the international editorial committee of several other journals in Asia and Latin America. I was also the founder and editor of the International Journal of China Studies (IJCS, Scopus-indexed since 2010, ranked top tier (by quartile at Q1) for years 2012, 2013 and 2014) from Vol. 1 (2010) to Vol. 5 (2014). He hold a Ph.D. on ethnopolitics in socioeconomic development from the University of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England (1998), was the director of the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, from 13th March 2008 to 1st January 2014, and is presently head of the Department of Administrative Studies and Politics, Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
