Biography
Amanda Martin-Brock, Founder and CEO of Water Standard, has spent her career focused in the global oil and gas, power and water sectors. She was named one of the top 10 women in energy by the Houston Chronicle and Water Standard is now recognized as a leader and pioneer in water treatment for water-based IOR/EOR and produced water treatment/reuse. She serves on the Board of the Texas Business Hall of Fame, Advisory Board of Amane Advisors, and the Harte Institute (HRI) for Gulf of Mexico Studies. She is regularly asked to speak and participate at global events including the Water Forum at the Aspen Institute, the Goldman Sachs Global Industrial Conference, the Water 2.0 Conference by the Water Innovations Alliance in New York, the Business and Professional Women’s Leadership Summit sponsored by the US Senate, and as Innovation Speaker at the GASTECH Conference in Abu Dhabi. She was also invited by Bloomberg to attend the 50 Thought Leaders in Water global conference held late 2012. She chaired the Water/Energy Panel at the 2011 American Water Summit and co-chaired the 2012 Water & Energy: Upstream Supply & Demand Management Strategies Conference in Houston. She is a regular columnist writing on the Water Energy Nexus for Global Water Intelligence.
