Brian Cousins

Biography

As Vice President of quality for Front Line Care, Brian Cousins is responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of quality management systems at Welch Allyn and Advanced Respiratory Care. He is also responsible for ensuring that quality processes are robust, effective and efficient in identifying and mitigating product and regulatory risk while enabling the business to meet key objectives. Cousins joined Welch Allyn in 2015 following the acquisition of Welch Allyn by Hill-Rom. He joined Hill-Rom in 2013, holding roles as executive director and vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs in North America. Most recently, Cousins was responsible for overseeing QA/RA in the Surgical and Respiratory Care Business Unit. He has previous experience in medical devices, combination products and pharmaceutical products at several companies including Medtronic Neuromodulation, Cephalon Corporation, Watson Laboratories and Perrigo, Inc. Cousins earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Ohio Wesleyan University and his Master of Science in physical chemistry and analytical chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively
