Biography
As Vice President and General Manager of Welch Allyn’s population health business, Witkowski has global P&L responsibility and oversees all aspects of the business, including strategy, sales, marketing and product development. He was appointed vice president and general manager at Welch Allyn in September 2015. Witkowski joined Welch Allyn as Director, Teleretinal Imaging Solutions, in January 2015 following Welch Allyn’s acquisition of Hubble Telemedical, where he was president and chief executive officer since Hubble’s founding in 2012. Before Hubble, he was the entrepreneur-in-residence for MB Venture Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm with $130M under management. Prior to MB, Witkowski was the founder and chief executive officer of Protein Discovery, a developer of patented bioanalytical sample prep tools for protein research. Protein Discovery was acquired by Expedeon Holdings in November of 2011, where Witkowski continues to serve as a member of the board of directors. Witkowski earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Montana, Missoula, and his Master of Business Administration from Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He then received his Executive Master of Business Administration in biotechnology enterprise management from Vanderbilt University at the Owen Graduate School of Management.
