Biography
As vice president of strategic development, Peter Georgianna is responsible for leading the company’s corporate strategy development, deployment and execution as well as identifying, evaluating and leading inorganic growth initiatives such as acquisitions, partnerships and minority investments. Georgianna joined Welch Allyn in 2012 as director of corporate development, was promoted to vice president of corporate development in 2015 and assumed strategic development responsibilities after the company’s acquisition by Hill-Rom. He sits on the board of directors of four businesses in which the company holds minority equity positions, three as a director and one as a board observer. Prior to Welch Allyn, he spent five years in business development at the Climate Controls & Security division of United Technologies focused on executing value-adding acquisitions and divestitures in support of the company’s corporate strategy. Georgianna earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Cornell University.
