Biography
Dr.Ibrahim Mahfooz is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA) and of the Certified Fraud Examiners of USA. Mahfooz obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Charles Stuart University, Australia and received his Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the Oxford Brookes University, UK. In his working career which began in 1993, he has worked in Accounting and Finance from 1996 to 2000 and works in Auditing since then. From mid 2003 to mid 2004, Mahfooz worked at the Ernst and Young where he worked in various assignments in about 25 different companies in the Maldives and in Sri Lanka. Additionally, Mahfooz is a part-time Lecturer at both, the Faculty of Management and Computing where he teaches ‘Preparing Financial Statement’ and ‘Audit and Internal Review’ for the ACCA Program and at the Faculty of Education where he teaches Company Accounting to the second year students of the Bachelor of Teaching program.
