Paul Grech is an accountant and auditor by profession. Paul started his career at KPMG, where he spent four and a half years in the financial industry mainly in audit and other administrative roles. After, Paul helped in the administration of the first professional fund investor in Malta. In 2003 Paul joined the Maltese government’s IT agency. In 2005, Paul joined Mediterranean Bank as Financial Controller. Paul was involved in the establishment of the Bank and the commencement of operations. Paul was responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, internal controls and financial projections. In 2008, Paul joined Nemea Bank as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Paul was a key member in the team that launched the bank. Paul was involved in a range of activities including IT development. In 2010, Paul joined the team of executives of a banking set-up, that received a no objection letter from the MFSA to proceed with a banking license. Paul was responsible for the application and setting up all banking systems for the prospective bank, which was to focus on a traditional banking model. In 2011, Paul joined the AgriBank team. He was engaged to attain the license for AgriBank and be responsible for the setup. The license was achieved in October 2012. Since then he served in the role of Chief Financial Officer and executive Finance Director.
