Biography

Robert Bertolini, age 55, brings to the Board significant experience in strategic and operational leadership both in and out of the finance function. Most recently, he was President and Chief Financial Officer of Bausch & Lomb, the global eye health company, where he played a key role in preparing the company for an initial public offering until its sale to Valeant Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Mr. Bertolini served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Schering-Plough Corporation, where he oversaw all key financial areas and played a key role in transforming operations and leading the acquisition of a significant business. Prior to joining Schering-Plough, Mr. Bertolini spent 20 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, leading a global organization of professionals and partners serving the pharmaceutical industry and other health-related industries. Mr. Bertolini has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Rutgers, is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and New Jersey, is a current Board member of Charles River Labs and Idorsia Ltd, and a former Board Member of Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Genzyme Corporation and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
