Biography

Dinesh Surroop is Senior Lecturer. He has 5 years of experience in lecturing and research in the field of energy engineering and waste management in particular on waste-to-energy conversions. He is the Project Manager of the Small Developing Island Renewable Energy Knowledge and Technology Transfer Network (DIREKT). He has worked as Environment Officer in the Pollution Prevention and Control division and the Environmental Law division at the Ministry of Environment in Mauritius for 4 years. He is also a Consultant in Industrial Waste and Energy Audit.

Research Interest

His research interests are in waste management, renewable energy technologies and climate change. He has a PhD degree in Environmental Engineering which focused on waste management.
