Biography

  Dr. Andrés Conesa Labastida has been the Chief Executive Officer at Grupo Aeroméxico S. A. B. de C. V. since 2005. Dr. Conesa Labastida serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Aerovias de Mexico SA de CV at SkyTeam. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Aeromexico since December 2005. He serves as Managing Director of Aerovas de Mxico at SkyTeam Airline Alliance Management Coöperatie U.A. He served several positions in the Mexican Public Administration, including: Advisor to the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit from 1990 to 1991, Advisor to the Secretary of the Economic Cabinet of the Presidency from 1991 to 1993, Chief Advisor to the Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit from 1997 to 1998 and Director General for International Financial Affairs in the Ministry of Finance from 1998 to 2000. Dr. Conesa Labastida served as Director General of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance from 2000 to 2003 and as Deputy Undersecretary for Public Credit from August 2003 to December 2004. He served as the Chairman of Consorcio Aeromexico S.A. de C.V. (formerly, Cintra Sa De Cv) since December 16, 2004. Dr. Conesa Labastida has been an Independent Director at Grupo Aeroméxico S. A. B. de C. V. since 2004. He serves as a Member of Board of Governors of The International Air Transport Association. He served as an Independent Director of Infraestructura Energética Nova, S.A.B. de C.V. since March 2013 until March 21, 2017. He served as a Director of Consorcio Aeromexico S.A. de C.V. since December 16, 2004. He served as an Independent Director of Genomma Lab Internacional SAB de CV. He obtained the Fulbright and Ford MacArthur scholarships and in 1997 he was awarded with the Banamex National Prize in Economic Research.
