Biography
She born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, and grew up in Zamora, Michoacán. She studied the career of Biochemical Engineering in the ITESM in Guaymas, Sonora and the Master in Sciences at the Instituto de Biotecnología-UNAM in Cuernavaca. In 2000 she started to work in the formerly known Centro de Fijación de Nitrógeno, now Center of Genomic Sciences (CCG/UNAM), within the Program of Molecular Evolution. Her work has been greatly appreciated by contributing to the “R. etli Genome Project”, both in DNA sequencing and in the Bioinformatic analysis of the genome. She is in charge of the automatic DNA sequencing section of the Program, and participates in the project “Microevolution of R. etli”.
