Biography
Miguel Ángel Cevallos is an experimental biologist from the UAM-I. He did his doctorate in Basic Biomedical Research at UNAM. He is currently Researcher C of the Center for Genomic Sciences (UNAM) and is attached to the Evolutionary Genomics Program. His research interests are mainly focused on three fields: First, in the study of the mechanisms of replication and segregation of the plasmids of the alphaproteobacteria. Second, in the study of quorum perception in different Rhizobia and Third, in the molecular epidemiology of Acinetobacter baumannii. He has published 40 articles in international journals to date with over 1300 citations. He has also written several book chapters in international editorials. Dr. Cevallos also has a wide participation, mainly in written press, and in activities of scientific popularization.
