Biography
Mr. Hernández has over 20 years of experience in international businesses across multiple geographies. Before joining Mexichem he was VP & General Counsel for Growth Markets at Tyco where he was responsible for all legal, public affairs, compliance and regulatory matters for the corporate office and all divisions of Tyco International in all emerging markets including Africa, India, Middle East, and Latin America. Prior to his tenure at Tyco, where he worked for 11 years performing in various executive positions, Mr. Hernández held various legal advisory positions at multinational corporations, private law firms and institutions including The World Bank, Ingram Micro Inc. and other industrial groups in Latin America. In 2012 he was awarded with Tyco’s CEO Award; he was featured as one of the top 100 most influential lawyers in Latin America in 2013 by Legal 500 as well as by Hispanic Executive in Dec 2014 as one of top Hispanic legal leaders in the U.S. Mr. Hernández is an attorney admitted to practice in New York. He holds an LL.B. from Catholic University, an LL.M from New York University, and LL.M.s from Rome University (La Sapienza), and from the University of Paris (Paris II Assas).
