Biography
Mr. Guzmán has more than 20 years of experience in business management and administration, specifically in the design and implementation of tax and cost-control strategies, risk management and investor relations. In addition, he has extensive experience in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls for compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, as well as the management of internal controls designed to eliminate fraud and bankruptcy risks at public companies. Before joining Mexichem in 2013, Mr. Guzmán’s career included executive positions at companies such as Gas Natural Fenosa and Pacific Airport Group (GAP) where he served as CFO for 12 years and during which he executed its IPO on the Mexican and New York Stock Exchanges. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and is the holder of a Global MBA with honors from the joint degree program at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
