Maria Teresa Garcia Romero

Biography

I am a dermatologist trained in Mexico,where there are great contrasts in public vs private health care settings. I did a 2-year fellowship in pediatric dermatology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and got a Master in Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health, focusing on quantitative methods for clinical research and the use of technology for health care delivery.   

Research Interest

I am also interested in expanding our knowledge on rare diseases such as localized scleroderma, inmunologic dermatologic conditions and tropical diseases. One of my more recent areas of interest is the microbiome and how it affects our health and its association with immunologic and reactive conditions.
