Biography

study of calicivirus host-cell interactions, particularly in the role of cellular proteins in viral replication. Since there is no convenient cell culture to propagate human caliciviruses (HuCVs), we are using two surrogate models: feline calicivirus (FCV) and murine norovirus (MNV) to study calicivirus biology. On the other hand, we are also studying the molecular epidemiology of HuCVs, through their detection in feces, with the proposal of knowing the incidence of these viruses in our population.
