Education: B.S. Texas A&M University, 2004 M.S. University of Georgia, 2006 Ph.D. Clemson University, 2009 Courses Taught: ANSC 103 - Introductory Horse Science ANSC 265 - Horse Evaluation ANSC 289 - Management of Equine Operations ANSC 335 - Advanced Horse Evaluation ANSC 415 - Horse Science and Management ANSC 488/588 Equine Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Research: Investigation of cognition level of instruction and learning styles in Animal Science courses, including exploration of techniques to induce higher order thinking in students. Other interests include efficient utilization of nutrients in the hindgut of the horse, utilizing digestibility markers in the horse, changes to the equine digestive track and metabolism as a result of ageing, and the effects of arginine on exercise parameters in the athletic horse.
